Licensing

Cobalt is free to use for noncommercial purposes. Commercial use requires a trial or commercial license.

Noncommercial License

Cobalt can be used free of charge for academic research, personal projects, and other noncommercial purposes. Register for a noncommercial license by running:

import cobalt
cobalt.register_license()

Commercial License

For commercial use, please contact us to discuss licensing options. Trial commercial licenses are available through the same registration process.

License Key Setup

If you already have a license key, configure it with:

import cobalt
cobalt.setup_license()

The license key is stored in ~/.config/cobalt/ and can be overridden with the COBALT_LICENSE_KEY environment variable.
